Gamer of the Week – Andy “Bravo” Dudynsky

Posted by ReadyUp on August 7, 2019

We’re back with another Gamer of the Week! In our last post, we introduced you to a Call of Duty pro that has taken the professional scene by storm. This week we want to put the spotlight on an esports veteran who has coached, worked in game development and is now one of Halo’s best casters.

Andy “Bravo” Dudynsky is an American Halo Championship series caster who has previously coached at the highest levels and worked directly with 343, Halo’s developer, on matchmaking systems. As one of the first people to dedicate himself to coaching in competitive Halo he found immediate success helping teams such as Triggers Down and Final Boss win tournaments due in no small part to his hard work and a keen mind for detail.

When his team had a few games off at these major tournaments he never hesitated to jump into the caster booth and try his hand at commentating. It was quickly apparent he had an incredible talent for this as well and eventually transitioned into casting full time where he is now one of the premier casters for the Halo franchise.

Between being a full-time coach and caster he utilized his knowledge of the franchise in a stint working directly for 343, the current developers of Halo, on their matchmaking team. There, he helped directly improve matchmaking processes and gameplay itself. Bravo has illustrated that you don’t necessarily have to be the best player to give yourself a viable career in the world of esports filling many different roles whenever they were presented to him. He is a prime example of what can be done if you are willing to seize any opportunity presented to you and take advantage of any situation you may find yourself in. His many accomplishments had him named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for games in 2016.

You can currently catch him at any of the remaining Halo outpost events taking place across the country.
