We’re back with another Gamer of the Week! In our last post, we introduced you to an up and coming Fortnite player. This week we want to put the spotlight on a young Call of Duty pro that has taken the professional scene by storm.
Chris “Simp” Lehr is an 18-year-old American representing eUnited who has quickly become one of the most well-known names in that competitive environment. He began competing in 2016 but only turned 18 – the minimum age for eligibility to compete – this year.
Simp was one of the most hyped prospects within the Call of Duty Community. eUnited recognized his talent at a young age, signing him to their cadet team in 2017. There he dominated online tournaments and other events that were not age-restricted helping him gain invaluable competitive experience. As soon as he turned 18, eUnited did not hesitate to promote him to their main team, and the results speak for themselves.
He is an astonishing young talent, best known for his prowess in Search and Destroy game types and his incredible SMG play. His first major event was CWL Anaheim earlier this year where he helped eUnited finish in the top 6. From there he was invited to play in the CWL All-Star game where he helped the Division B team emerge victoriously. He also helped eUnited finish first place in their group and the entire league during the regular season before helping them claim the championship in Miami last weekend where he was also given the MVP of the event for his astounding play. If his first season is any indication of things to come, we can expect a legendary career.
Although his professional career is just beginning, he already has an impressive list of accolades. We’ve listed these for you below:
- 2019 CWL Playoff MVP
- 2019 CWL Season & Playoff Champion
- 2019 CWL All-Star
- Earned nearly $100,000 in tournament winnings this year alone
His accomplishments to date have been impressive, but he is only getting started. You can watch him at his next event during the CWL World Championship August 14th-18th. Want to learn more about Simp? Check out his twitter or tune into his stream to witness his ascent to greatness first hand.
